Day 6

So it has finally become the 6th day before I got myself to start logging. I really have no idea how to log my events every day. I’m just planning to go with the flow everyday. So my day started at 9 am with making some breakfast for myself. My breakfast consists of 2 slices of whole wheat bread toasted(with no oil obviously, curse of the endomorph) and 2 egg whites(used an oil spray for this, yaayyy). I have also added a dollop of peanut butter so that I don’t kill myself or others around me.

My pretty breakfast

My workout for this week and the next involves a whole body circuit training. I have mentioned the workout I follow in a different page. The workout leaves you gasping for breath after every set which seems to be the standard goal of my trainer. Since he’ll also read this blog, I won’t be scolding him here, XD . After workout involves having 2 scoops of whey protein isolate. The flavor I use is chocolate peanut butter from Dymatize.

This is the only angle from which it looks tasty

The next meal of the day was my lunch, meal I really used to look forward before(notice the word ‘used to’). It’s damn painful to measure out the rice before cooking it. Lunch consists if 50g of rice(uncooked weight) along with a veggie saute. Today my veggies consisted of beans and carrots. The veggies were sauteed with two sprays of groundnut oil. Sooo yummyyyy. The rice you see in the pic is all the rice I had. Damn frustrating stuff especially for a guy for whom rice is the staple food.

My hearty lunch

Evening workout session consists of moderate cardio for 40 minutes and two more scoops of protein shake after it. Dinner was a fun meal to cook for since I got to have 200g of fish along with my pathetic 50g of rice and veggies. The fish is Tilapia fish and it hardly takes any time to cook. I’d already marinated it the previous day. You could marinate for 15 minutes too and it tastes the same. For those who wanna know the recipe of my amazing fish (attempts at sarcastic humor), there’s a page on this site for that too. The fish has been broiled so no worries of oil at all. You know what, I get a bonus of 2 egg whites for my dinner which I’ve so artistically scrambled.

My fun dinner

That was my day today and hopefully I wake up to one more such amazing day.

Day 7

Yaayyyy , we’ve successfully made it to day 7. My day started a bit earlier today at 7.15 am with 50 minutes of a bit intense cardio. Today is a cardio day since yesterday was a strength training day. So it’ll be two times of fun cardio.(What more could I wish for?) Let’s just say cardio isn’t y favorite activity. My cardio consists of walking mindlessly on an incline on a treadmill because that’s the only piece of equipment I have access to during this quarantine. Once done with cardio and the two scoops of protein, breakfast was the obvious step. Do you see any difference in my breakfast between yesterday and today? Nope. That’s one of my goals of making this log. I want to show how boring and mundane this can be but surviving through this is all about making it through the boring parts of it without giving up. That’s the biggest challenge for me as it might be for many of you.

Here we go again

Next we look at the amazing lunch I had. Basically I believe in using as little seasoning as I can so that the natural flavor of the main ingredient comes out. Today’s lunch was mushrooms and so the goal was to bring out the earthy flavor of the mushroom. So the mushrooms were sauted with no oil and just some salt, pepper and garlic powder. Coupled with the 50 grams of rice, the flavor is the only thing that’ll take you through.

Since today was a cardio day, we have 2 sessions of fun cardio.(heavy sigh) After 2 more scoops of protein, dinner was the next destination. Dinner was made more fun by cooking myself up broiled chicken.(Proud of it being a 0 oil recipe)
